Project manager, MCE Division to Höganäs AB

This is an invitation to join the team of “Metal Consumables and Elements” Division and to take the lead in shaping MCE’s future process for Development and to lead some of our most important projects. As Project Manager you will be an essential part of turning our strategic vision into actionable plans, ensuring our product and process development are aligned with both current and emerging needs of our customers. Your role
As Project Manager in MCE you will be deeply involved in setting the future plans for our critical activities follow up to ensure that we meet our ambitious targets. Initially most of your time will be spent on building up the process for our development and investment projects which builds upon what already exist within Höganäs but tailormade to fit the dynamic division MCE where we have a huge variety of applications and customers who are the key-stakeholders in all our development projects. Once the structure and tools are in place focus will switch to manage the PMO function that ensures that projects run according to plans. You will also be running some of our biggest and most important projects globally. A third task is to plan and track the strategic objectives that MCE works against where you will be the master of the plan and work with all stakeholders to ensure that we are on track.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop the entire development process for MCE in the right direction through working closely with management team in aligning the development process to the strategies and business plan.
- Manage the Strategic objectives for the MCE division and ensure that are on track with all our goals and ambitions.
- Lead our PMO function. Ensuring efficiently allocated resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance and internal capability.
- Lead some of our important development and investment projects. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including global manufacturing plants, engineering, contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes.
- Track project progress, prepare regular reports, and present updates to senior management including risk mitigation plan. Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
Your background
- Business- or engineering degree
- Project management experience
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a high paced dynamic environment.
- Understanding of finance to manage budgets and financial planning effectively.
- Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities & proactively address business demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish, and the ability to create strong working relationships.
